Everest Metals (ASX:EMC) flags "exceptional" gold recoveries at Revere gold project, WA

  • Everest Metals (EMC) records “outstanding” metallurgical test results on two rock samples from its Revere gold project in WA
  • The work returned gold grades including 305 grams per tonne (g/t) in a 41-kilogram bulk quartz vein sample and 3.7 g/t from a 59-kilogram siltstone host rock sample
  • Further, EMC reports gravity gold recoveries from the quartz and siltstone rock samples of up to 97 and 92.8 per cent, respectively
  • Planning is now underway for bulk sampling and additional metallurgical testwork, along with a deep diamond drill program due to commence in the second quarter

Everest Metals (EMC) has recorded “outstanding” metallurgical test results on two rock samples from its Revere gold project (RGP) in WA.

The results come from bulk samples taken from a shallow prospecting pit in the Revere Reef system.

Two samples were taken to an independent laboratory for Gravity Recoverable Gold (GRG) test work.

A total of 305 grams per tonne (g/t) gold was found within a 41-kilogram quartz vein sample, with 47 per cent testing as visible coarse-free gold.

An additional gold grade of 3.7 grams per tonne was sampled from a 59-kilogram siltstone host rock sample.

A gravity gold recovery rate of 97 per cent to a “very high-grade” primary concentrate of almost 50 kilograms per tonne in the quartz vein sample was identified.

Meanwhile, gravity gold recovery from the siltstone host rock sample came to 92.8 per cent to a primary concentrate grading of 4323 g/t.

EMC said the test work program at the RGP reinforced the high nugget gold attributes present at the deposit.

“These metallurgical results highlight the high-grade nature of mineralisation, the very high recoveries to a primary gravity concentrate at a coarse grind size for both the gold-bearing quartz vein and the surrounding host siltstone are especially pleasing as they facilitate processing in a simple gravity circuit,” RGP Executive Chairman and CEO Mark Caruso said.

“We look forward to further progressing the exciting Revere gold project over the coming quarters.”

The company is discussing plans for a low-cost and simple crushing, grinding, and primary gravity concentration processing circuit.

EMC is also preparing to commence a trenching program for supplementary bulk sampling and mapping of the reefs system in the June 2023 quarter, as well as a deep drilling program.

An additional metallurgical test work program is planned from the bulk samples in the new areas to evaluate further gold production.

Everest Metals shares were up 13.33 per cent and trading at 8.5 cents at 3:52 pm AEDT.
