Leo Lithium (LLL) has reported further “strong” assay results from its Goulamina lithium project in Mali, West Africa.

The drilling delivered thick, high-grade mineralisation outside the current resource.

Significant down-hole pegmatite intercepts included 92 metres at 2.01 per cent lithium oxide from 132 metres, including 36 metres at three per cent lithium oxide.

Other hits included 112.7 metres at 1.43 per cent lithium oxide from 83.2 metres, 60.35 metres at 1.72 per cent lithium oxide from 205.3 metres, and 76.4 metres at 1.73 per cent lithium oxide from 90 metres.

Leo Lithium also reported the mineralisation remains open at depth and along strike.

LLL Managing Director Simon Hay said the latest results highlight the potential on hand for the project.

“With the potential to grow the mineral resource outside the current project area, the opportunity to unlock further value from the outstanding Goulamina asset continues to be apparent,” he said.

“With drilling continuing, we remain on track to update the mineral resource estimate for Goulamina in late June and release a reserve upgrade in August.”

Mr Hay added that the project remained on schedule, targeting first spodumene concentrate product in late H124, and early revenue from the DSO in the second half of this year.

For now, the company reported exploration reverse circulation (RC) drilling was continuing at Northeast and Danaya Domains at Goulamina.

Shares in LLL were up 2.32 per cent, trading at 77.3 cents at 11:05 am AEST.
