Orcoda (ODA) subsidiary Betta Group has penned an $800,000 works contract with Aurizon Operations (AZJ).

The company announced the contract would cover the project delivery and installation of LED lighting at Aurizon’s Callemondah rail yard.

It forms part of Aurizon’s energy efficiency implementation program to improve the group’s energy efficiency and offset energy consumption with a combination of solar, LED lighting, control system and other upgrades.

“Aurizon is a long-term core client of Betta Group and we are pleased to be awarded this contract and be part of Aurizon’s drive to roll-out cost-effective and energy efficiency initiatives across their facilities portfolio to reduce emissions,” ODA Managing Director Geoff Jamieson said.

Aurizon is considered the nation’s largest rail-based transport business and a top 100 ASX company.

Orcoda reported the contract revenue would be earned in the second half of 2023.
