Wildcat Resources (ASX:WC8) has reported further high-grade lithium results from a second batch of assays from the maiden drilling program carried out at its Tabba Tabba project in Western Australia.

The company received assay results from an additional 32 reverse circulation drillholes, reiterating that Tabba Tabba is home to multiple pegmatite clusters carrying high-grade lithium over broad intervals.

Some of the best results from Wildcat’s Leia pegmatite in the project’s central cluster included 52 metres at 1.3 per cent lithium oxide from 117 metres and 1.5 per cent over 35 metres from 200 metres.

Mineralisation was also hit from the surface, measuring one per cent over 68 metres. Notably, mineralisation in the company’s Hutt pegmatite in the northern cluster included 1.3 per cent over 16 metres from less than 50 metres.

The Leia pegmatite is greater than 1.5 kilometres in strike, has true widths over 130 metres and it remains open along strike and at depth with adjacent parallel bodies adding to the central cluster formation.

“The second batch of assay results reinforces our belief that we are onto a terrific lithium discovery at Tabba Tabba,” WC8 Managing Director Samuel Ekins said.

“The system is showing it has significant scale, we are seeing impressive intersections at multiple locations and the central pegmatite cluster seems to be getting better with depth.”

To date, WC8 has completed more than 20,000 metres of RC drilling and it has expanded its initial site area site to explore more land with three more drill rigs now onsite.

The company is awaiting 68 drill hole assays, which have predominantly come from its Leia pegmatite discovery.

Diamond drilling (DD) has commenced at the Leia pegmatite, targeting dip and plunge extensions of the thickest lithium zones, as WC8 continues with resource evaluation and metallurgical sampling processes.

WC8 shares last traded at 44 cents.
