Boss Energy (ASX:BOE) has entered into a binding sales agreement to supply uranium from its Honeymoon project in South Australia to a major US power utility.

The agreement will see Boss sell one million pounds of uranium over seven years, providing the company with financial certainty while allowing it to benefit from potential uranium price increases.

“Signing our first sales contract is a major milestone for Boss and another key de-risking event for the Honeymoon project,” BOE Managing Director Duncan Craib said.

“With production about to start and the project running on time and on budget, we are extremely well placed to capitalise on the rising uranium price.

“In the process, we have established a long-term relationship with this large strategic customer”.

The agreement is based on current market-related uranium pricing and includes a ceiling and floor price set above Boss’ forecast production costs at Honeymoon.

BOE shares last traded at $4.13.
