Alliance Aviation promotes COO Stewart Tully to CEO

  • Mr Tully has been in the COO role for the past three years and has nearly 35 years experience in the industry

Alliance Aviation Service (ASX:AQZ) has promoted Chief Operating Officer Stewart Tully to the role of Chief Executive, effective March 1.

Mr Tully has served as the company’s COO for the past three years after he joined Alliance in Brisbane in 2015.

He holds nearly 35 years of experience, both directly and indirectly, in the aviation industry.

“I am delighted that Stewart will bring his broad expertise which he will utilise in this role to run the company on a day-to-day basis,” AQZ Managing Director Scott McMillan said.

“We have worked extremely well together for the last nine years, and I have total confidence and trust in Stewart’s abilities.

“Having held the dual role of Managing Director and CEO for the last 18 months, this appointment will now allow me to concentrate on company strategy, corporate development, and growth.”

Alliance has advised that it’s also commenced the search for two additional directors.

AQZ shares were up 3.40 per cent, trading at $3.35 at 2:34 pm AEDT.
