Sun Silver gets that drill to thrill feeling from high grade hits at Maverick Springs

Keely:

Nevada explorer Sun Silver has revealed a 6,216 grams per tonne intercept at the Maverick Springs Silver Project from historical data and drill assessments. To discuss, I’m joined by the company’s executive director, Gerard O’Donovan. Welcome Jared. Tell us about these results.

Gerard:

So this is some fantastic work by the team. We’ve discovered some ultra high grade historic intercepts with grades up to 6,216 grams per ton. They’re extremely wide intercepts as well. That’s of north with 303 grams per ton, over 54.8 meters, so, so really, really strong results.

Keely:

And Gerard, are these in line with what is known for the project to date?

Gerard:

These are some really significant results because the ore body itself, the average width is about 20 meters and the grade, silver grade, of the resources for a 3.5 grams per ton. So you can see that with grids of 6,000 grams per ton and widths over 50 meters. Really, really significant area that we’ve assessed and uncovered here.

Keely:

What do these results show about the project?

Gerard:

What’s significant about these results is that they’re high grade, they’re thick, but most importantly, they sit on the northwestern boundary. Now, what we believe this could suggest is that the resource continues to that northwest. It could get higher grade and thicker, and based on some of our very recent fieldwork results, we look forward to exploring that area moving forward through fieldworks and drilling.

Keely:

And finally, Gerard, how do they compare to other results from the region?

Gerard:

These are fantastic results for the region. They’re extremely high grade and they’re thick, and the Carlin Trend is known for low cost mining and processing. So we’re really excited about the quality of these results.

Keely:

Well, thank you so much for joining us today, Gerard O’ Donovan from Sun Silver. We look forward to speaking again soon.
