The Oz explorer completed Minta’s most recent drilling campaign on broad spacings to “identify higher-grade and higher-value areas” at the Cameroon dig.
“These results further confirm that Minta hosts a massive, high-grade rutile system,” the company’s CEO, Casper Adson, declared to holders today.
“The Peak Minerals technical team continues to deliver exceptional performance on the ground [and] further updates will follow as the program advances towards infill drilling and a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate.”
The strong geological continuity sets up “clear targets” for a follow-up search, he added.
“Minta is rapidly emerging as a potential world-class rutile discovery,” Mr Adson added while sharing the news today, “and may represent one of the most significant global heavy minerals sands finds in decades.”
That claim remains Peak’s to prove, of course, but considering how much strong monazite and zircon enrichment has popped up, it’s very possible.

On that front, Peak’s tech manager Richard Stockwell said the next steps would be key. “As first movers in this highly prospective province, the challenge is to get it right from the outset and identify the highest value areas.”
HotCopper understands these early targets Peak is chasing include rutile, monazite, and zircon, which stretch across residual and alluvial settings.
This marks the first modern exploration to be conducted through the Minta region.
On this news, PUA dipped slightly on Wednesday, down -0.9% to 5.4cps.
