It’s a big step for the gaming company, and a cheeky move into a booming space. Mobile gaming is going gangbusters, with millions logging on daily.

Under the agreement, SportsHero snagged exclusive rights to distribute web versions of these globally loved games to mobile operators in Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Malaysia; some of the fastest-growing digital markets in the world.

“We’re stoked about this deal. It allows SportsHero to expand into the substantial mobile gaming market, in addition to our existing PC gaming product,” said CEO Tom Lapping.

“By combining Yes2Games’ and Halfbrick Studios’ world‑famous mobile titles with SportsHero’s growing Telco distribution channels, we are well‑positioned to capture a piece of this potentially very large opportunity.”

The titles included in the partnership are no small fry either. FruitNinja and JetpackJoyride alone have racked up close to two billion downloads globally. They’ve been favourites for years, and now, they’re set to be delivered straight into the hands of mobile users across Southeast Asia.

“This isn’t just a one-off, we’re integrating the mobile gaming product into our existing distribution networks in Indonesia and the Philippines, and we see plenty of upside from here,” Mr Lapping explained.

“We believe that content is absolutely critical in the gaming value chain, and we have been impressed with SportsHero’s platform and partnerships in the region. We look forward to entertaining hundreds of millions of gamers in the region,” Yes2Games co-founder Tanu Gulati added.
