Traders pour into Locksley on otherwise boring day as antimony mileage extends

If cars ran on vibes, premium octane would be antimony at the moment. So it was that Locksley Resources (ASX:LKY) popped another +41% on Monday (~$11M trades a/a 1545 AEST) based on nothing.

The company didn’t say nothing: It said it has inked a “transformative partnership to fast track antimony processing.”

Or it didn’t say that, it just released an announcement titled that.

Except that it hasn’t. It’s just now working with a university on some R&D project, but you wouldn’t know that by reading the title. HotCopper is not alleging criminal activity; companies are obliged to engage in marketing.

But the title alone was probably enough to get the job done. Shares are well in the green, and now Locksley’s chart looks like this:

Something wicked this way comes (Market Index)

I’m not going to kick off my next article paragraph with “so what’s going on?” because anyone troubled enough to be regularly entertained by my cynical flair already knows what’s going on… It’s a boring day.

As I write this in the final fifteen minutes of close, there’s more than probably a lot of clicking of buttons going on. Likely out the gate tomorrow morning, too.

Shares are cheap, the economic roundtable was a photo opportunity, and Wall Street hasn’t done anything interesting in Week 35 yet. Jerome Powell wants to cut rates, to which one really can’t help but stifle a quietly muttered “no shit.”

Good, then, that Locksley intends on producing more antimony, more quickly. It hasn’t made any yet, and definitely hasn’t pocketed any cash for doing so, but if you accept that markets are rational, that’s just been priced in.

Or you’re troubled enough to be regularly entertained by my articles.

Interestingly, Locksley have also just tapped a firm that worked with MTM (now Metallium) on its e-waste recycling tech. Both companies are staging >1,000% YoY returns.

LKY last traded at 32cps.
