No surprise, Invictus Energy (ASX:IVZ) has leapt out as the most-discussed stock on the HotCopper forums today after it confirmed the Qatar Royal Family had indeed picked up a 19.9% stake at a “premium price.”

The family has come on board through Al Mansour Holdings (AMH) and will inject US$500 million into the Cabora Bassa project as it builds to production.

IVZ shares rocketed on the news, jumping as much as +90% through to lunchtime.

Elsewhere on the forums, regular trender DroneShield (ASX:DRO) popped on “surging revenue and profitability.” The company’s results today actually sent the stock into a slight dip, though, with DRO down -2.8%.

And finally, budding producer Core Lithium (ASX:CXO) has drawn attention after pausing this morning. The company is looking to stage a cap raise.

As for the bourse at large, the ASX 200 is up around +0.24% right now.
