In this daily HotCopper Trends column, we break down the top three stocks talked about on any given trade day, and why they’ve drawn a daily focus.

Race Oncology (ASX:RAC) has been trending highest on the HotCopper forums today, with the biotech firm submitting an intellectual property patent application for its “major breakthrough” on matter compositions.

HotCopper forum users were excited because they believe the “long blackout period” for the company seems to be at an end through mid-September.

RAC shares have been up as much as +24% on Tuesday, selling at $2.24 each.

Elsewhere, Paladin Energy (ASX:PDN) has been much-discussed after banking a fully underwritten equity raising. The company now has as much as $300 million in its coffers after the advance raise.

PDN shares have been relatively strong heading into today, and have been up around +17.44% through the month so far. The stock is halted for the time being.

And, Sunrise Energy Metals (ASX:SRL) has popped +33.4% and caught trader attention on the forums at the same time; the explorer received a letter of interest from the Export-Import Bank of the U.S. for A$103 million.

And for the ASX: Things are green, with the bourse up +0.27%.
