Well done to the directors of GUF.

I have been somewhat critical at times, over the past 2 years, of some GUF director company transactions.

They have proven to know far more than me, and my criticisms have been unfair, naive, and at times, unjustified.

History will show the directors of GUF have done an excellent job.

They are shrewd and intelligent and experienced coal businessmen, with a good eye for a corporate deal.

Mongolia is one case in point.

When the Australian government announced a mining tax on coal, GUF went and purchases some very attractive coal assets in Mongolia.

Mr Ransley is clearly very pleased with these, as he should be, deciding now to devote more personal time to the Mongolian assets, as Chairman.

This is good news for GUF shareholders, because Ransley is an excellent operator, a mover and shaker, who gets things done, the ideal personality for a Chairman/MD/CEO role.

He has also been a big supporter of his local community here in Australia, and will hopefully take this ethos to Mongolia, for those communities in Mongolia who will become the workforce for GUF.

GUF's share price climbed from 20c mid 2010, to $1.35 mid 2011, and has now pulled back midway to 70c, which would indicate that it is now a speculative buy.

This repositioning of Ransley, should make for some very interesting times at GUF, the second half of 2012 may include an IPO of the Mongolian assets. I wonder if GUF are contemplating a listing in Hong Kong, Singapore, Canada or Australia (and Mongolia) for the Mongolian assets.

For those investors interested in coal, GUF will be an interesting story to follow in 2012.
