What you say is true in Elliot Wave Theory. My experience in markets has taught me that the last leg of a bull run is always over cooked. A spike in volatility is usually the best predictor of a change in direction. That has been proven again in the gold market since August last year.
The question for me now is how deep can the correction go. The signal for the bottom will be a sustained drop in vol.
