A trading halt could be justified given the impact the pending decision will have one way or the other. You only need to look at Hastie which called for a trading halt on the 13th April while they awaited the outcome of court proceedings scheduled for the 19th April. Their shares were subsequently suspended until the "position bacame clear" to prevent trading on an uninformed basis and this was all for a $7m bond dispute.
