I think I was grasping at straws when I first read this article. A few words in there fired up my imagination and it may well have been unjustified optimism and a hasty post.

a few examples....

"Exercise Bersama Shield 2012 will occur between 23 April – 05 May 2012 and will take place in Malaysia, the South China Sea and Singapore."
Thats starting about now and Singapores involved in it as well. Julia popped in to see them about something.

“This exercise provides the Australian Defence Force with an important opportunity to enhance relationships and interoperability with our security partners."

Security partners might do some things together..perhaps like making weapons, ammo, etc. STK were doing 3GL ammo development in Singapore. We haven't heard anything about progress yet but they have had enough time to produce something positive by now, you would think...??
