Actually theoretically land tax is the most fair tax of them all. If you consider there are three kinds of taxes - tax on profit, sales and tax on land.
Ask yourself why should successful people be punished with a profit tax? Why should trade of goods and services get taxed? Trade and profit is good. How about instead we just tax the money that no one earnt - unimproved land price appreciation!
These ideas are all based on Georginan economics. I hope reading the below opens your eyes.
