    hilohi,

    thanks.

I think they (management) do make mistakes - they wouldn't be human if they didn't. I just don't see any big ones. I agree that some of or all of those things effect the sp - but you can't do much about some of them - at least if you want to mine in Aust. - and I do.

Watch my sentiment change if fml takes over something in Africa -------- hmmmm.

As to analysts --------- well, what does the difference show?

It has to show either incompetence, political manoeuvring, funny bugger games or similar eh.

What chance has Joe Public got? -- well, honestly if they are active, talk to company reps., go to the meetings and meet the board etc. then use what they know and scent and ask around - listen and question, then I honestly think they have more chance of getting a better picture than just reading analysts reports.

stand in front of CB - ask him something ----- he couldn't lie to save his life.

Ask Chuck or Dean about some tenement they know - are they telling you the truth? Yep, - as long as your intentions are good, these blokes are open and honest as they can be.

Don is the same -------- then you just have to work out if it is worth being in.

All the above guff is exactly why I believe one shouldn't have a big basket of shares -------- because you can't keep a close eye on them. Also, unless you are Kerry Packer - you spread your finances so thin that you don't show up in the crowd. On the other hand if you have enough of a holding to be noticed - and you make enough noise to be noticed by supporting them (and if you don't feel supportive of them then you shouldn't be in at all).

I find personally that with my close contacts with major shareholder mates and my company connections - I get a lot of info that most probably wouldn't ------ it's not inside info. it's just info. that comes from having interested, invested, sticky beak mates who know full well that they own part of the company and that it's their bloody business.
It works well - and I can't think of one of them who wouldn't kick the crap out of anyone who attacked someone in the company. There is a big payback for that - you support the company and it's workers and they support you back.
No one would ever give any improper information - but, let's just say that if they see you as a supportive part owner then they well might be more relaxed than if they were speaking to some angsty wally.

It's good to have a close knit group - you get info. from many sources - and you cross check - and often you get a picture that is not public - but is clear as a bell. I like that.

have a great night my friend.

    Pinto
