The outcome may not be worth disputing but the timing certainly is. Mostly, everyone on this board has thought the TOL issuance imminent ever since early Feb. and most retain the same attitude here, where we are creeping up to May.

Looking at it from the gov't viewpoint ... where is Lynas going? Nowhere! So we (the gov't) have the luxury of taking all the time required to navigate through hazardous political waters. No hurry, Lynas has no alternative but wait. Unless of course, they choose to sue the gov't. as some propose.

Based on performance over the last year or two, it does not appear that we can expect decisiveness from anyone in the gov't regarding Lynas. They continually wimp out before the slightest opposition. Delay, defer, but decide? Not if they can avoid it.Their backbones are as limp as wet tacos.

Will Minister O rule before rally on 28th? History says no. Surely though, he must gimp out a ruling sometime.

Ruling to come soon after the 28th? Don't hold your breathe. Those doing so since early Feb are turning mighty red.

After the election the ministers will spring like little tigers to act in favor of Lynas. But until post election don't overestimate the prowess of these pussycats.

I hope the TOL is issued today, however the Malaysian government, like Scarlet O'Hara, will worry about that tomorrow.
