Your votes will not be counted if you sell now. Voting rights are based on your holding registered on the meeting date (or thereabouts considering T+3) rather than the holding you had when the proxy forms were printed and mailed.

The SSN story is still a very good one and this blight on the meeting agenda doesn't change that or diminish the prospects but it does make one want to tell them to pull their heads in and get back to business, ie finding oil rather than securing feathers for their nests.

Thataboy, give up and do nothing. That will show them who's boss. I don't mean to be mean but if we take that attitude then we might as well write to them and tell them to up it to 100% of the equity, ie take the lot, because we can't be arsed standing up for ourselves. Then we can re-elect the socials and finally put an end to choice altogether. Your vote only counts if you can be bothered making it. If you don't agree with this then it takes only 30 seconds to fill in the form and tell em what ya think. doing nuthin is a self fulfilling prophecy.


I think they have misjudged this very badly. I think they should save face and pull it from the agenda altogether and just say something like:

"On reflection the board believes that the scheme as proposed in its current form is out of kilter with shareholder expectations and the board therefore withdraws the item from the meeting agenda pending a review and possibly putting forward a revised version in the future".

There ya go Tezza, easy peazy chocolate squeezy. Pull the damned scheme, up the options price to a minimum of 25c and we will pretend it never happened. Everybody makes mistakes and we forgive them if they correct them.
