Hi joewolf, just a quick calculation. SWM paid a FFD of .45 cents.
Even if you halve the dividend to .225 cents and divide it into the current share price it still gives you a dividend yield of around 7.75% plus with franking credits yielded up returns 11.07%.
I hold over 20,000 in my smsf and will still hold as nobody at the moment is going to offer you 11.07% in a fixed term deposit.
Anyway just my opinion, I feel the selloff has been overdone and is a great entry point for a reasonably quick profit or long term hold.. Saw it all recently with QBE and look at its price now.
