Well I'm not saying you are wrong. I have no idea myself. I just would have thought where the national interest is at stake to this degree, eliminating competitors in the pursuit of profit would probably take a backseat. The whole Rare Earth supply situation is bigger than Lynas and bigger than Molycorp.

Whatever the case may be, take heart from the fact Rare Earths are considered strategically important. This is a industry that will get increasing attention over the years.
