Question: Does any one no the tax treatment for any SLR shares distributed (ie. are they a return of capital, a dividend, rolled over????).
The other side is we still will own PRH shares that will be trading with just a bit of cash and thus at a very low price --- thus when we sell we would get a good capital loss (assuming the in-specie distribution was not a capital return).
Knowledge in respect to the taxation treatment is important as it might give us an extra benefit over a straight takeover (eg we might be able to take a big tax loss by selling PRH post distribution and sit on SLR shares at a deemed distribution price of .... I do not no.)
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers
