A Bank guarantee is just as good as money. I have made use of it myself on many occasions in the past and it is better that having money sitting in somoene else's account while the Bank only charges you a small fee for doing it.

No Banks will issue one for someone that hasn't got the means of having that kind of money or the assets available in the first place to cover that guarantee.
