DC, that'll depend on the brokers policy. If it was purchased via commsec they'll need to exit/settle the trade today. Each broker will have a different policy.
From the brokers perspective, if they buy wednesday, that settles monday, but if they sell on the monday, the funds for the sale wont come through to offset until thursday. So it makes sence that some brokers wont provide a full T+3 window for traders. Some might though? Anyone know who does? Commsec sure doesnt.
