Geeez it is quiet around here. And on many other renewables boards as well.
Anyway, item in CleanTechnica today
http://cleantechnica.com/2012/05/03/the-state-of-commercial-solar-power-in-australia/
about the nearness of commercial PV (warehouse roof scale- 10kW up to 1MW)summarising concisely the significant projects already done (1MW at QU) or underway (10MW at Geraldton),
it also gives a thumbnail snapshot of government reluctance to even talk about PV at this scale
(matching comments in the Environment Spectator on the ineptitude of the Gillard gov at engaging the Australian population about climate change/carbon pricing/renewable energy/fuel subsidies etc).
James Martin notes three points requisite to a PV installer / supplier company's survival at this time;
" Morris says that the 3 golden rules; required for large-scale solar project developers to get projects on the ground are:
1) knowing the market,
2) getting engineering and business advice, and
3) understanding finance.
