Dear Fish, my attitude in terms of either investing or trading -and there's a big difference - is neither full nor empty but experience tells me to be suspicious of analysts who insist the glass is overflowing.
Bullion prices have softened, there is some serious political volatility in countries surrounding Ghana and up pops Nana from Clarus with a glowing assessment of PRU's prospects. Coincidence? Maybe, but despite his "nothing to see hear" assessment of risks to sentiment around PRU I sold my trading parcel yesterday after watching this little rally of the last couple of weeks begin to waver.
If PRU stock gets hammered back to low $2s or even lower I'll sneak back for another short term "trade" because the fundamentals, as you rightly point out, are compelling. Who wouldn't if they had the readies? All things being equal it's free money as long as you're not greedy. But I've still got my main holding, acquired in early 2009, and retained as an "investment".
