For those looking to hold over the next (e.g.) 5 years - I remember one gentleman talking about a pension from MYG in years to come - have a look at kitco.com video interview with John Butler in 2 parts, forecasting a return to the Gold Standard. He has published a book, "The Golden Revolution" which may be worth a read.

In it, he suggests that China will be the first country to adopt a Gold Standard (a currency backed by Gold in its vaults), swiftly followed by others, in a similar response to the disastrous world economy in the late 1800's. If this seems unlikely, it's worth remembering that China has been calling for a new world reserve currency for years, as the US dollar falls. Given Europe, Britain and Japan's problems, it can hardly be the Euro, Sterling or the Yen either.

Now I know this is a far cry from MYG today. However, any Gold company producing Gold where the price has risen to between $5,000 - $7,000 per ounce has to be a life changing investment for any shareholder.

The figures I mention are those generally accepted if certain major countries adopt the Gold Standard again, such as China or USA. Before you think this is too far fetched, Switzerland has already begun to move down this path with the production of the Gold Swiss franc.

Those chartists among you could have some fun predicting where MYG's SP might be on a production of only 50,000 ozs Gold per annum, at a price of US or Austrlian $5,000 per ounce!
