So who are the dumb politicians currently in power who still haven't done anything about reducing it at least?

I think it is way too generous. Surely they would be better to limit it to 2-3 kids per mother and maybe pay a reducing amount as the costs are usually highest for the first one with the need to set up nursery furniture etc.

I agree with Mrs Peel that some single mums will simply go back for another child - and get another baby bonus for her efforts plus another eight years of government handouts. Rather than encourage people into work, it could easily cost the government more.
