"Then MPO assets follow but will take a lot of moola from the Chinese and that will dilute like crazy.

    well not necessarily.
of the MPo assets, MPo owns approx 66% and Mitsui owns 33%.

So only buying 66% of MPO permits.

So it is possible for LNG to get Chinese partners to farm-in to either, or even both, of MPO assets and WCL assets.

    there's all sorts of possibilities.

the main thing is, money talks - and the Chinese have a quid or two.

both LNG and Chinese want the F/L LNG project to begin construction soon, and to produce LNG around 2014. they need to satisfy the Gladstone Port Authority by June.

Without a doubt, LNG have sunk a s###load of money into the F/L project.
    The Chinese have also.
    they bought into the project.
they have done a heap of work on design, costing, engineering studies etc to get to a point where they are now ready to start to build.
that "open book" stage is a final process prior to FID I think.
FID will be a rubber stamp once they get gas supply and port authority approval.

SO we have the Chinese on the LNG Board and the Chinese as co-MD, and the Chinese big-wigs coming over to Aus to inspect LNG's operations.

Have you ever heard of "face"? yes of course.

So if the Chinese have invested heaps of money into the LNG Ltd, the F/L project, put their reputation on the line, invested people and "face" into the project and LNG's OSMR process - do you really think they will go away? do you really think they will allow a situation to occur where LNG does NOT get the gas???

Sit tight - I reckon the day of reckonimg is upon us, and you LNG s/h will get your gas.
I hope it comes from WCL - but irrespective, I simply cannot see the Chinese letting this one get away from them.

    cheers
