if you buy a micro mineral or energy explorer chances are the volume comes and goes depending on the news released
if you buy with the surge in volume when everyone else does, you end up with an entry price the same as or pretty close to everyone else
if the news turns out to only be a 1 or 2 day event, like so many are, you struggle to find the volume on the way out, and because everyone has a similar entry, everyone fights for the limited volume on bid to get out for better than break even
if you're smart, you know where everyone else's entries are and where they'll likely panic to, and overhang will probably be if it falls
imo you have to really know your announcements to buy on the news, the chances of getting caught by a welcoming committee are high.
much easier to read the announcements, plan the ahead the upcoming news and wait for quiet time when not many are looking. Incite does it well.
Illiquid stocks are the best, if you can be sure liquidity is just around the corner
you cannot buy every breakout, you do not have enough money in your account. and choosing them by the succession they arrive, until you're account is full up, is a lousy strategy
