Good advice Andrew .I've always been a believer in holding good stocks through downturns because it's too hard to pick when to get in and out and sooner or later they get going again .But this is certainly not a time to be holding any stocks you've bought for fun or any schrapnel you've been holding because you're waiting for them to go up to get out .The materials index has looked precarious for a while now ,I think there'll be a fair bit of pain there before this is over.
Nevertheless I still like to retain exposure in the right stocks .As we know nothing is guaranteed either way ,it's all about managing your finances so that whatever scenario happens you're still well and truly in the game
