on a seperate Colt/MST front, I noted when doing a wiki on Colt, the following:

' Colt Canada Corporation, its Canadian subsidiary, is the Canadian government’s Center of Excellence for small arms and is the Canadian military’s sole supplier of the C7 rifle and C8 carbine. '

now how interesting is that?

The Canadian government seems to work very closely with Colt on all things small arms, with the implication being that Colt had (mayhaps) a lot to do with the Defense Canada Small Arms Replacement Program being designed and put together - within which MST is clearly stated as the technology of choice, that Defense Canada will use... and it just so happens that Colt looks like it will be the manufacturer of the Maul, (a few of which Defense Canada have already bought), and Colt could also end up being the manufacturer of the 3GL...

so we seem to have a situation of Colt likely recommending to Defense Canada to go only with MST, and then Colt later announce they hope to produce MST technologies... a nice fit for Colt, that's for sure

Colt Canada also supplies substantial arms to the Netherlands and Denmark.
