    I have been waiting along time to see these stats. From them we can see that the Government is providing around $30 billion in tax deductions due to investment properties.

    So assuming average tax rate of 30% for simplicity if they removed negative gearing it would amount to an extra $9 billion in tax revenue to them.

    Is $9 billion worth the Australian Government annoying 1.7 million investment property investors? You tell me.
