In WA we have the North West Shelf, and a pipeline from Dampier to Bunbury. Then we have the Goldfields Gas Transmission line that goes from Dampier to Kalgoorlie.
Why can't we have a nework of CNG filling stations which could service all cars, trucks, heavy earthmoving and mining fleet?
It could be done, and would make us 100% energy self sufficient for all our transport and energy needs.
There is enough gas off the North West of WA to service the whole state and continue our exports well into the century.
