I have bought more today as well, slowly averging in.

Kloppers/BHP's story of Chinas growth holds some sway with me.

China's urbanisation rate is still low (around 54%) when compared to more developed economies. Their development now moves from tier one coastal cities to tier two and three inland.

Sure the pace of the infastructure build may slow but I believe China's development/ urbanisation still has some way to go. Additionally the expanding middle class will consume more on a per capita basis.

I also think critisism of their Shale purchases are too short sighted. Increased exposure to the new US energy can only be judged 10 years from now. Its a play on the current disparity between the price of oil and gas. Parity will only increase over time when industries in the US have adjusted to accomodate a new, abundent, cleaner, low cost energy that practically didn't exist 5 years ago.
