    Hi HT,

I was interested in your use of the word declined as in "You could be right, it could be a declined shaft."

I thought this might have been some special mining speak for the direction of a shaft or perhaps it is a shaft they don't wish to build so I checked the word for usage which gave -

    1. Grow worse
    2. Refuse to accept
    3. Show unwillingness towards
"he declined to join the group on a hike"
    4. Grow smaller
    5. Go down
    "The roof declines here"
    6. Go down in value
    7. Inflect for number, gender, case, etc., "in many languages, speakers decline nouns, pronouns, and adjectives"

And so I then checked for Inclined –

    1. Have a tendency or disposition to do or be something; be inclined
    "He inclined to corpulence"
    2. Bend or turn (one's ear) towards a speaker in order to listen well
"He inclined his ear to the wise old man"
    3. Lower or bend (the head or upper body), as in a nod or bow
"She inclined her head to the student"
    4. Be at an angle
    5. Make receptive or willing towards an action or attitude or belief
"Their language inclines us to believe them"

Apologies for the formatting but we can have an inclined or a declined shaft whether we are inclined or not to the declined status of the shaft.

Not having a go at all just the word intrigued me - and really I don't really care just as long as the find plenty of ore at the other end of the shaft.

And it would be nice to see the share price incline upwards as well.
