James Hardie Industries (ASX:JHX) has posted a full-year net profit of $613 million.
The building products-maker had reported a loss of $US347 million for the same period last year.
The significant improvement came after James Hardie was awarded $369.8 million after the High Court dismissed an appeal by the Australian Taxation Office.
James Hardie’s chief says he expects the domestic market to continue to contract in the next 12 months.
The company announced an unfranked final dividend of 38 US cents per share.
