Some hotels do keep 'floor' footage though .. so perhaps he spoke too soon. Would love to see a lady knocking on his door.

Opposition Senate leader Eric Abetz said any lack of video evidence would not clear Mr Thomson.
“Considering that Fair Work Australia found that numerous calls to outcall escort agencies had been made from Mr Thomson's hotel room, clearly if outcall escort girls had gone to Mr Thomson's room then there would be no video evidence of Mr Thomson attending the escort agencies' premises,” Senator Abetz told The Australian Online.
“This is just another smokescreen being peddled by Mr Thomson, whose excuses become more unbelievable every day.”
Fair Work Australia found that Mr Thomson spent $5566 of Health Services Union money on escort services, the majority with an agency called Sydney Outcalls. He also spent $1078 at two Sydney brothels.
In his report, FWA investigator Terry Nassios said: “In contrast to the sums charged at establishments that appear to be brothels such as Tiffany's and A Touch of Class, the sums charged to the HSU credit cards at Keywed, which provides escorts, are considerably higher.”
He notes that Sydney Outcalls advertises the “finest escorts in Sydney”, and that “ladies are available to gentlemen in the privacy of their hotel or home, for all occasions”.
