The off-take agreements does not lock down the price - it is subject to further negotiation. So GXY can definitely enjoy the price rise.
On the Chinese market, battery grade LiCo price has risen about 10% in recent months and currently at about $40k RMB per ton, about AUD6300 ~ 6500 depending on the exchange rate used. There is a premium for higher grade LiCo products but no reliable market information is available on the price.
This price level is in par with those used in recent research reports on GXY. Questions then are:
1. How much more could LiCo price go up?
2. How would AUD / CNY exchange rate move?
3. WHat would the operating cost be?
4. How quickly can Jiangsu produce in full scale?
5. How much improvement in purity would the purification unit bring about?
The answers should unfold gradually. Just wait and see.
