The quote you used says it all, i.e. it is anticipated that conducting the well test will start today. That is to say they they thought at the time they mentioned it that today looked good for a start on the test. Note they did not say that it will start today, nor that it will finish today, etc., although it well might in both cases.

Drilling boreholes is not like booking an appointment with your dentist for a filling which they can more or less guarantee will take half an hour, i.e. borehole drilling is not an exact science - the time taken depends on what you encounter and what you may have to do to get past unforeseen ocurrences, geology, down hole. Thats the nature of the game.

So settle down, calm any unrealistic expectations you may have and wait for the results like the rest of us.

Fretting is not going to change the outcome.
