Tretch - if they require electricity, which I assume they must do, then it is important to know how much, as whether there is a an overall energy pay-back will depend on how much power is required, along with other inputs like nutrients, water etc. The sunlight is still captured directly from the sun, right? What is the mechanism for that? I assume the electricity is used for peripheral operations like pumps and so on? Sorry to ask possibly silly questions, I have no time to research any of this.
