Gina Rinehart is able to buy all the Iceland shares but not all the Aussie shares with her money. [The latest value for Market capitalization of listed companies in Iceland was US$2,020,654,000 as of 2011.]
The current ICEXI:IND movements are nothing for those share holders who bought before GFC e.g. around 2007.
However, the current XAO/XJO movements are still not as tiny as those of ICEXI:IND for Aussie shareholders who bought around 2007. Aussie Markets are much better than Iceland markets considering December 2007 as a reference point.
That's a matter of reference point (time)! Since these world market corrections are due to the credit bubbles, it may be more appropriate to compare the current market movements with respect to the 2007, I mean before GFC.

Don't compare ASX:BHP with ASX:MYN!
