Headwinds in the sector aren't helping VDM, however the soft SP issue runs deeper.
Looking over the announcements, the results are poor, plan execution the speed of treacle and prime assets sold off without premiums.
If this wasn't enough, the long term issue of revenue without earnings still persists. New contracts often mean cash out the door.
The earlier board lost credibility and would have been handing out bonuses for the recent poor performance.
The refreshed board and leadership team are welcome changes. The old CFO, IMO was around too long and Broad just hasn't delivered.
Forge are the company VDM believe they are, so why not try and pickup Hutchison their outgoing CEO.
Compare the post GFC results and share price.
Capital is flowing from speculative punts like VDM to companies able to develop and retain earnings with the current uncertainty. VDM for my money are a good speculative punt in the right hands. My 2 cents and worth half as much.
