Singapore Telecommunications Limited’s (ASX:SGT) Australia arm Optus, has welcomed a draft decision by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission to allow cable network customers to migrate to the new National Broadband Network (NBN).

Optus’ chief says, “the agreement will enable Optus to gradually decommission its Hybrid Fibre Coaxial network and move customers over to the NBN from 2014.”
