    i think the best way to judge a fund manager is to determine the CAGR of the fund for the previous seven financial years.

    ((1.13100 * 1.14700 * 1.15600 * .931 * .871 * 1.10400 * 1.09200)^(1 / 7)) - 1 = 0.0561722974

    ie CAGR = 5.62%

    that's term deposit interest rate territory.

    so stroke their egos and throw them some peanuts!

    it's amazing what monkeys can do.
