I simply don't have the inclination to type for long enough to present to you what needs to happen from a mining and processing point of view for CUX to produce a tonne of REO concentrate. It really would be about a 10 minute conversation over a cold beer at best!
For example LYC have a hard rock resource, as you say, that grades roughly 10% REO at the moment. They put this through a flotation concentrator to produce a REO con that grades 40%REO, this is what will feed their refinery.
CUX must do the same with their ore, via a HMS plant to produce a concentrate of whatever grade but likely comparable to LYC give or take a % or 3. The thing is scale, when you're starting with about a fortieth of the head grade of your peers you need to move a lot of ore through to produce that same concentrate - it's not alchemy, it has to come from the ground Stoops.
