There can be scenarios of this fiasco
1. PBa and tzl were overly confidant and forget to pay attention to business basics. Their over confidence may have prompted them to call a TH in the hope that share price will get a good kick along
2. The priorities of AP have changed and they are looking at more futuristic solution like 'ourPad'. They may not select any tenderer as yet no one has been announced. By rejecting PB, this frees up TZL to pursue their other goal which may fit with AP thinking.
The second is a long shot but you never know in the business world.
By the way, when Wizard was on the market and NAB was the favorite to take it over then GE came along and took it away from NAB.
