BTW, can anyone explain to me why the proceeds of the CT are being used to pay welfare & compensation to the brown coal generators? Why is it not being used to convert/replace two of the Yallourn generators with gas? that alone would meet a big chunk of our 2020 commitment.

Currently in the US for the second time this year and spend a lot of time with friends many of whom are serious to sophisticated private investors and I can tell you Australia is TOXIC ATM. It's rather embarrassing actually, they can't believe we were in such a good position going into the GFC, got thru it OK, then have done everything possible to shoot ourselves in the foot since.

While all US/CAD RE stocks have been equally trashed can't help feeling the above has had some negative influence on the LYC SP.

Had my cash account in $US from the start of the year and one of the attractions of LYC to me is that they will be earning in $US and of course be pretty much insulated from the Australian economy.

Siemans are way smarter than me and it wouldn't matter how much welfare (incentives) The Joke & Robin Hood threw at them there not going to locate to Oz.

Sorry for the rant but can't help feeling we're letting an opportunity to set the country up for a decade or so slip thru or fingers and it's rather heartbreaking.
