How do we know that the amount of electricity we are told we use...we actually use???
With prices rising so quickly...its open for scamming...
Going thru my elec bill, I am on a plan that for up to 10 times during jan-mar and for a period of 6 hrs in those times they charge a huge amount for power, the trade off is cheaper power other times..
my question..after many arguments with my provider...they have come back with 33 kw used during the 54 hrs (9 times the high rate occurrred).
thats .6 a kw an hr...now during those times 2-8pm on the days...i turned off everything apart from 2 fridges...the microwave, the oven clock..and dvd players and tv on standby etc
so 3.6 kw usage for the 6 hrs... 2 fridges use under 3 kw a day so its .75kw during the period... that leaves 3 kw over 6 hrs for things on standby?
we did put not on any lights, or use any elec during that time..i still think .6kw per hr seems over the top fr standby items....
do yu think they still have got it wrong on my usage?
